Attractions in the Area
There are many historical, geological, and just plain fascinating points of interest throughout the area. The Chief Joseph burial site, Wallowa Lake Moraines, Eagle Cap Mountains, Snake River, and Hell’s Canyon, are just to name a few. Travel through the Hells Canyon Byway, one of the region’s premier attractions, by car, boat or foot. Hells Canyon is the deepest canyon in North America, and easily one of the most spectacular. The raging wild waters are bounded by canyon walls rising more than a mile on each side. Some of the exposed volcanic rock is estimated to be 250-300 million years old. Eight sets of Class III to V rapids make sections of the river some of the most challenging rafting areas in the United States. With nearly 900 miles of trails in the area, there is something to excite either the new or experienced hiker. Located within easy driving distance of the Minam, Wallowa, Grand Ronde, Bear Creek, Lostine, and Imnaha Rivers, can offer memorable experiences to the novice or veteran angler. You can walk out the door of your RV and catch trout right on the banks of the RV Park!
